Data published by the International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (ISAPS) shows that liposuction is now the most requested cosmetic surgery procedure in the world. A staggering 14.8% of the cosmetic surgeries carried out globally are one of the several forms of liposuction. This is compared to the breast augmentation operations, which accounts for 13% of all cosmetic surgeries worldwide.
The global trend for cosmetic surgery is on an upward trajectory. According to ISAPS’ annual survey, there were almost 30 million cosmetic procedures (surgical rose and non-surgical) undertaken in 2021, an increase of 19.3% on the previous year.
