The technique involves injecting tumescent fluid, a mix of salient and anaesthetic in the layer of fat in the area that is to be treated. The next step is to use the latest ultra sound technology to change the fat into liquid allowing it to be removed via a cannula.

The cannula is inserted into the area via a small incision and the fat can then be sucked out, without affecting any of the surrounding tissue, making it much easier to extract and reducing post-operative pain and swelling.

P O S T – O P E R A T I V E   P R O G R A M M E 

As a patient of Dr. di Mauro, you will be provided with a personal post-operative plan adapted to your specific needs. After you leave the hospital it will be necessary to continue post-operative drainage for between one to three days. During the second week after surgery you will need to attend the clinic to receive massages to promote further drainage. Your ultimate recovery time will depend largely upon your general health.

Follow up appointments must be attended to track progress. If preferred it is possible to arrange remote appointments, except when a physical exam or process, such as removing stitches, is required.
